$43.9M Budget With Slight Tax Increase To Be Voted On In Basking Ridge
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday night before the township committee adopts the 2022 municipal budget.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A public hearing and a final vote is expected on the Bernards Township municipal budget which proposes a slight increase in taxes for 2022.
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday at 8 p.m. before the township committee adopts the 2022 budget.
The meeting is held in the Municipal Building, 1 Collyer Lane, Basking Ridge. The meeting will also be live-streamed and can be found by clicking on the “Watch a Meeting Live” icon on the home page bernards.org and can also be viewed live on Optimum/Cablevision TV - Channel 15 and Verizon FiOS TV - Channel 35.

Bernards Township Chief Financial Officer Sean McCarthy introduced this year's $43.9 million municipal budget at the March 29 meeting, which includes a 1.98 percent municipal services tax levy increase. Read More: Slight Tax Increase Proposed For Basking Ridge Residents
A home assessed at $663,991 will pay $49.36 per year or $12.34 more per quarter for the municipal services portion of the tax bill, McCarthy told Patch.
