500 Riders to Bike Through Basking Ridge To Stop Diabetes
More than 500 riders will bike through Somerset and Morris counties.

Basking Ridge, NJ -- More than 500 riders will bike through Somerset and Morris counties as part of the Skylands Tour de Cure presented by The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and Novo Nordisk to help stop diabetes.
There will also be a 3-mile trail run through the Verizon campus at One Verizon Way in Basking Ridge.
The event will be held on Sunday, June 5. The first ride leaves at 6:30 a.m. and the last ride leaves at 11 a.m. The run starts at 8:30 a.m.

This will be the association's 25th Anniversary of the Tour de Cure. Since 1991, Tour de Cure riders have raised moe than $250 million to help change the future of diabetes and help stop this devastating disease.
"Nearly 30 million children and adults in the U.S. have diabetes and an additional 86 million are at risk for type 2 diabetes," according to the American Diabetes Association. "The disease has reached epidemic proportions. If current trends continue, one in three American adults will have diabetes by 2050."
