5K To Prevent Substance Misuse In Basking Ridge Set For Sunday
The Annual Twilight Challenge 5K at Pleasant Valley Park benefits the Bernards Township Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Race to help prevent substance misuse in Bernards Township with the 32 Annual Twilight Challenge 5K, a 1-mile walk, or a kid race on Sunday.
This event benefits the Bernards Township Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse and goes towards substance misuse prevention programs in Bernards Township.

The event will be held at Pleasant Valley Park at 3405 Valley Road in Basking Ridge with the race beginning in Parking Lot 2.

Packet pick-up and same-day registration is being held between 4 and 5:30 p.m. on race day. Pre-registration $25 (registered online or received by June 3). $30 on race day. T-shirts guaranteed to pre-registered runners.
A pre-race warm-up will be offered by Athletifreak at 5:45 p.m. Runners should park in Parking Lots 1 or 3. The race starts at 6 p.m. and includes two cross country loops around the park.
The route is a combination of woodchip, grass and road. There will be aid stations at the midpoint
and finish.
There is also chip timing, halfway split, finish line clock, race results and optional text message results provided by Blue Ridge Timing.
1 Mile Health Walk
There is a 1 Mile Health Walk with a registration fee of $15. Walkers can pre-register or register on race day. The walk begins at 5:30 p.m and includes a scenic mile through picturesque Pleasant Valley Park. T-shirts guaranteed to pre-registered walkers.
Lollipop Loop
Lollipop Loop Sponsored by Athletifreak is free for kids of all ages. It starts at 6:45 p.m. and is a fun loop over a grassy field.
Awards
Awards sponsored by Athletifreak begin at 7 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to top overall male and female and top three runners in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19 and then in 10 year increments up to 80 and over. No duplicate awards.
