6 Candidates To Run For Bernards Township Board of Education

It will be a contested race in November with 6 candidates vying for three seats on the Benards Township Board of Education.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Monday was the deadline to file for the upcoming general school board election in November. Six candidates have announced their intention to run for three open Bernards Township Board of Education seats.

Candidates include:

  • Lawrence Rascio (with Marcus and Weber running under the slogan "Securing Kids' Education")
  • Deborah Marcus (with Rascio and Weber running under the slogan "Securing Kids' Education")
  • Erin Weber (with Rascio and Marcus running under the slogan "Securing Kids' Education")
  • Jennifer White (running under the slogan "Experienced Effective Educator")
  • Janice Corrado (with Shaw running under the slogan "Responsible Informed Leadership")
  • David Shaw (with Corrado running under the slogan "Responsible Informed Leadership")

Jennifer White and Rascio are both incumbents on the Board. Corrado previously ran and lost in 2022 for a seat on the school board.

New Jersey's general election will be held on Nov. 7. The three winning candidates will serve a 3-year term on the Board of Education.
