Over the winter improvements and repairs will be conducted at Pleasant Valley Pool in Basking Ridge in preparation for the 2018 season.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A total of $65,000 was appropriated by the Bernards Township Committee for improvements and maintenance of Pleasant Valley Pool in preparation for the 2018 season.
“This is something we do annually where $65,000 is annually allocated for capital improvements at Pleasant Valley Pool and we do various projects over the winter which can vary from year to year,” said Jennifer Gander of the Bernards Township Parks and Recreation Department.
This winter improvements will include expanding some concrete decking for more seating and picnic tables, painting, refurbishment/replacement of water features, replacement of split rail fencing and other improvements around the ground.

The $65,000 amount is what is recommended each year to keep up with improvements and repairs at the facility and funded through pool membership revenues, according to Gander.
All improvements will be completed over the winter before the 2018 pool season begins.
