73-Year-Old Bicyclist Hit By Pick-Up Truck In Somerset County
The cyclist briefly lost consciousness and was taken to Morristown Hospital on Thursday afternoon, said police.
PEAPACK/GLADSTONE, NJ — A 73-year-old bicyclist was hit by a pick-up truck on Thursday afternoon in Peapack and Gladstone.
On Sept. 28 at 12:04 p.m., Peapack and Gladstone Police officers were called to the area of Main Street near Ramapo Way for the report of a bicyclist who had been hit by a vehicle.
Officers found the cyclist lying on the southbound side of Main Street, said Peapack And Gladstone Police Department.

The cyclist was hit by a person driving a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup remained on scene and cooperated with police, said police.
Witnesses said the cyclist briefly lost consciousness and was taken to Morristown Hospital by the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid and Rescue Squad.

Although speed was not a factor in this crash, this incident remains under investigation.
