8 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In Somerset County
The new cases bring the total of positive cases in Somerset County to 16 as of Wednesday afternoon.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Eight new positive cases of the new coronavirus were reported in Somerset County on Wednesday.
Gov. Phil Murphy announced that the state had 162 new positive tests on Wednesday, raising the total number of cases to 427. There were also two more deaths brings the death total to five. (See Related: NJ Coronavirus: Cases Soar By 162, Death Toll Rises To 5)
A Hillsborough resident was among the eight new cases reported in Somerset County. (See Related: Hillsborough Resident Tests Positive For Coronavirus)

The other locations were not released as of 5 p.m. Wednesday. The new cases bring the total of positive cases in Somerset County to 16.

The cancellation of curbside recycling pick up in Somerset County has resumed as of Wednesday. (See Related: UPDATE: Recycling Curbside Pickups Will Now Continue)
Somerset County announced several closings including all county facilities, with the exception of Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center, to the public.
All scheduled programs will be canceled through April 10, including the 5K Race to Wellness, Pysanky Egg Painting and other activities.
All public shuttles from the Somerset County Division of Transportation, including DASH, SCOOT and CAT, will be operating on a modified/holiday schedule.
All six county-operated senior centers are also closed. Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered.
