Sunday's open houses in a town where many seem to move up, down and around during their decades living here.
For those who live in Basking Ridge for any length of time, conversations with their neighbors may clue them in that those residents may not so long before have lived elsewhere — that's elsewhere within Basking Ridge (Bernards Township).
Some people seem to get tired of living in The Hills and look for a house "in the flats," as some call the lower elevations of Basking Ridge. Or others move to townhomes since they no longer want to care for a large, or even relatively large, property.
The expansion or shrinkage of family size is an obvious reason to move. Or, of a change in budget.
