Rt. 202 Reopenes, Power Restored After Downed Pole
Power has since been restored to JCP&L customers in Basking Ridge, Bedminster, Far Hills, Bridgewater, and Bernardsville on Tuesday.
FAR HILLS, NJ — A downed pole had closed Route 202 in Far Hills and caused residents in Somerset County to be without power on Tuesday morning.
Power has since been restored and the highway was reopened, Far Hills Police reported.
Route 202 will close again for further repair from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The highway will be closed from Peapack Road to Liberty Corner Road, Far Hills Police reported.
Nearly 3,000 residents were previously without power when the initial outage was reported around 11:50 a.m.

JCP&L customers that were affected as of 11:50 a.m. included:
- Bedminster - 1,145 to fewer than 2
- Bernards Township - 1,157 to 11
- Far Hills - 419 to 413
- Bridgewater - 9 to 0
- Bernardsville - Fewer than 5 to same
The locations of the outages were off Lamington Road in Bedminster, and King George and Mt. Airy Roads in Basking Ridge.
