BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The 27th annual Our House, Our Run 4 Miler and one-mile walk is scheduled for May 9, at a new location, Pleasant Valley Park in Basking Ridge.
The event marks the organization’s 27th anniversary celebration and will include its traditional in-person run and walk format, along with a virtual participation option for a seventh year.
The annual fundraiser supports adults with disabilities served by Our House.
The event will include a 4-mile run, a 1-mile walk and a virtual option for people who want to participate from anywhere. People also may choose to fundraise or donate without taking part in the race or walk.
"Our annual community event and fundraising efforts are critical for supporting the adults with disabilities served by Our House and we are most appreciative of your ongoing support," according to the event announcement. "We promise to once again deliver a socially engaging community experience through Our House, Our Run!"
Our House, Inc. was founded in 1980 and is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

The organization states that it aims to help people achieve "their full potential for living meaningful and productive lives" in an environment that stresses "abilities, not disabilities."
The event includes free photo downloads, long-sleeve souvenir shirts, post-race refreshments, souvenir bib numbers, B-Tag chip timing for the 4-miler, DJ entertainment and medals for top finishers.
There will be prize money for top USATF-NJ winners, clocks at each mile and the finish line, and multiple water stations on the 4-mile course.
