BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Three candidates have filed to run for Bernards Township's Board of Education in 2026, with three spots on the governing body at stake.
Monday afternoon marked the deadline for hopefuls to file petitions for candidacy in New Jersey's school board elections, which will be held Nov. 3.
Incumbents David Shaw, Janice Corrado, and Jennifer While are running for re-election to the board.
White currently serves as the Board President and is serving her 9th year on the Board of Education.
Corrado and Shaw were both elected to the board in November 2023 and are running for their second term.
School board elections are nonpartisan. But candidates can choose a slogan to appear with their name on the ballot.
