According to the township flyer, residents who want to be included on the township website listing must register by Sept. 23, at 3 p.m.

The town said it will publicize the sale in a "green" way by sharing a listing of participating addresses on the township website.

The township also plans to promote the sale "within and outside of our community using our town communication channels, local newspapers, etc."

To register, residents are directed to go to gsalr.com and click "add sale." They are then asked to create an account if needed, select "yard/garage sale," and enter their address.

For listing details, the township instructs residents to use the title "Bernards Township Yard Sale," add any notes such as "no early birds," and enter the date as Sept. 26.

The flyer notes that most sale hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event also includes a recycling and reuse message.

"After the sale, in the spirit of recycling and reusing, you are encouraged to donate your unsold items to some excellent local rummage sales, who will in-turn, donate their unsold items to other organizations," according to the Township.

Residents with questions can email municipalclerk@bernards.org.

The township flyer also lists several local rummage sale opportunities for donations before and after the townwide sale.
