BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township is planning a "Green" townwide yard sale on Oct. 10, with no cost for residents to take part.
Residents who want to join must register by Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. to be included on the township website listing of participating addresses.
Residents will host their own sale in their yard or garage.
The township said it will publicize the sale in a "green" way by providing a listing of participating addresses on the township website.
The town will also promote the event throughout the community using town communication channels, local newspapers, and social media platforms.
Registration is being handled through gsalr.com. The notice tells residents to click "Add Sale," create an account if needed, select "Yard/Garage Sale," and enter their address.
The sale date is Oct. 10, and it will be held rain or shine.
"After the sale, in the spirit of recycling and reusing, you are encouraged to donate your unsold items," the township states.
