BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township's Ridge Drama Club will bring Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to the Ridge High School stage this fall.
This follows the group's championship win for Best Play in New Jersey for last year's Peter Pan and Wendy.
The production is scheduled for Nov. 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. in the Ridge High School Performing Arts Center.
Tickets are available through the Ridge PAC website.
The play is a theatrical sequel to the Harry Potter series and is set 19 years later.
The story follows Albus Potter, Harry Potter's second son, and his friendship with Scorpius Malfoy, the son of Draco Malfoy.
According to the announcement, the plot centers on what happens when Albus and Scorpius become involved in dangerous meddling with time and alternate realities.
The production marks another fantasy title for the Ridge stage after the club's previous award-winning season.
That earlier show, Peter Pan and Wendy, earned Ridge Drama Club the championship for Best Play in New Jersey last year.
The new production continues the club's recent run of high-profile stage work as it heads into the fall performance season.
