Ancient Olympics - An Armchair Art Tour offered at the Bernards Township Library
Learn about the ancient predecessor of the modern Olympic Games through the art of the ancient Greeks.
As we anticipate the modern Olympic Games this summer, learn about their ancient predecessor during the Ancient Olympics – Arm Chair Art Tour at the Bernards Township Library on Tuesday, July 19 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Explore how this religious event in southern Greece developed over the course of 1100 years and see how it helped draw the Greek city states together. Dr. Michael Norris, former museum educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will present this interesting and informative program.
