Deadline to nominate a resident for the Mayor's Art Awards is Jan. 29

Bernards Township, NJ -- The deadline for the Bernards Township Mayor’s Art Awards is fast approaching.
The deadline to submit is Jan. 29.
The Mayor’s Arts Awards honor those individuals and organizations demonstrating exemplary leadership in and dedication to the fine and performing arts in Bernards Township.

Nominations will be considered in the following categories:
- INDIVIDUAL – Presented to an outstanding individual dedicated to supporting the arts in Bernards Township. Nominee may be an artist, professional, educator, or community volunteer.
- ORGANIZATION – Presented to an outstanding organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Bernards Township. Nominee may be a non-profit organization, corporation, business or school.
- STUDENT – Presented to a current High School Junior or Senior who has demonstrated excellence in and a commitment to the fine or performing arts.
Nominations will be reviewed and awardees selected by a panel comprised of the Mayor of Bernards Township, Recreation, Parks & Pathways Advisory Committee Members, and Parks and Recreation Department staff.

Awardees will be honored at the Parks & Recreation Department’s Annual Township Art Show and Reception on Saturday, March 19 at 11 a.m. at the Somerset County Environmental Education Center. Awardees will be notified by mid-February.
