Are You Faster Than A Ridge Runner?

Basking Ridge, NJ -- It’s time to put the pedal to the metal... err, or the foot to the pavement... or just get a chance to challenge yourself against some of the township’s speediest runners.

The “Are You Faster Than A Ridge Runner?” event invites the running community of the Basking Ridge area to race with some of the top high school runners in Somerset County while supporting the Ridge High School Track and Cross Country teams.

The 5K race will be held in Sunday, March 20 at Mountain Park, 2 Mountain Road (Intersection of Martinsville and Mountain Roads) in Basking Ridge.

The course is a USATF Certified 5K course with professional race timing on a flat looped trail through Mountain Park. Splits will be given at 1 and 2 mile marks. There will be a water station.

• 8:00-8:45am Check-in
• 9:00am: Start 5K Race
• 9:30am: Start 1-Mile Walk

Awards will be given to female and male 5K winners in age brackets: under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over. Medals also given to first three-places in each age group.

Registration for the 5K and 1-Mile Walk is $25.00 ($22.00 for USATF-NJ members).

Registration must be received by March 15 to receive a long sleeve T-shirt. Late and race day entrants will be charged $30 cash or check only, no T-shirt given.
