The Basking Ridge 14U Devils beat the Franklin Warriors to win their second USABL Championship in the 2017 season also defeating Clark 3-0 in the playoff semi-final to get to the final round. The team played great offensive and defensive baseball throughout the playoffs behind outstanding pitching from Jonah Horowitz, Robbie Rutkowski, Chris Stapleton and Jake Beers and extraordinary catching by Edward McCarthy. Offensive explosions by Will O’Malley, Christian Allora and Evan Crociata and fielding by Dylan Ryan, Christopher Campione, Andrew D’Amato, and Tommy Albanese powered the team in its wins over Franklin and Clark. The Ridge team was also won the USABL 2017 Spring League championship posting a 7-2 record and defeating the Verona Barnstormers 9-1 in the Championship.
