Basking Ridge Artist’s Paintings Featured At Library
Paul Kopp's paintings are being showcased at the Bernards Township Library through February.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Basking Ridge artist and retiree is having his work showcased at the Bernards Township Library through the month of February.
Kopp has been a resident of Basking Ridge for 26 years and retired as Vice President of Chase Bank in 2002.
During his retirement, Kopp joined the Bernards Township Senior Art Class taught by Linda Arnold and his love of acrylic art took off.

Kopp primarily likes to put his spin on photographs featured in newspapers, magazines and other mediums. He has painted the ice rink in Central Park in New York City, ballet dancers or the Delaware State Fair.
"I paint things that interest me," Kopp said. "I paint the photos in my own way, in my interpretation."

His exhibit encompasses two cases in the library and is filled with 12 painting, one for each month of the year.
“It brings out what I want to say,” Kopp said of painting. “It is something that interests me. Sometimes it can get very frustrating… but it’s part of the challenge. It’s very interesting to me.”
Kopp’s artwork is not for sale as he features it in his family’s home. He also has a rotating exhibit inside the Copper Kettle on 118 S Finley Avenue in Basking Ridge. He changes up those painting based on the seasons.
“I am very honored to be featured at the library, it’s very exciting,” Kopp said.
Locals can view Kopp’s painting through the month of February at the library located at 32 S Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge.
