Basking Ridge Car Stolen, Used In Newark Robberies: Police
A Basking Ridge man reported his car was stolen in Bedminster and used in possible 3 robberies in Newark: blotter

BEDMINSTER, NJ — One car was broken into and another car was stolen and used in possibly three robberies in Newark, Bedminster Police reported.
Bedminster Police Blotter:
On Sept. 5 at approximately 2:39 p.m.: A Basking Ridge resident responded to headquarters to report his motor vehicle stolen. He stated that on Sept. 4 he was attending a party on Deerhaven Road and at around 12:30 a.m. he had a car service pick him up, leaving his vehicle parked overnight on the road. Upon arriving the following day at approximately 10:30 a.m. to retrieve his vehicle he realized it was stolen. The vehicle was entered into NCIC. At 1:35 a.m. Newark Police Auto Squad advised they recovered the stolen vehicle. Newark Police advised the vehicle had been used in two confirmed robberies and was suspected of being involved in a third robbery.

On Sept. 5 at 2:17 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Pottersville Road for a report of a vehicle that was burglarized. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the owner who advised she parked her vehicle unlocked in the driveway at approximately 1:30 p.m. on the previous day. At approximately 02 to 2:30 a.m. the owner’s dog was barking uncontrollably, but she did not think it was anything. At 2 p.m. upon arrival at her vehicle she observed the middle consul and glove box was open. Her Iphone charger, approximately $7 in change and a Lenova Thinkpad T440 Core processor, case and charger were taken.
