Basking Ridge Charter Day: 2023 Guide

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Celebrating Bernards Township's 263rd Anniversary, Charter Day will be held on Saturday, May 20 from noon to 6 p.m. in Downtown Basking Ridge.

Coordinated by the Department of Parks & Recreation, Charter Day is an annual event that celebrates the history and 1760 Charter of Bernards Township and showcases community groups, businesses and talent.

The event will feature a street fair, rides and amusements, entertainment, food and an art and history show.

The Street Fair will be on Finley Avenue and Henry Street and showcase local businesses, community groups, crafters and food vendors, and DJ and activities.

There is also a Student Art Show at Westminster Hall along with Historical Displays at the Brick Academy.

Rides and amusements will be held on the Oak Street School Field.

Main Stage Entertainment Lineup:

  • 12 p.m. - Opening Ceremony
  • 12:20 p.m. - Tree House
  • 12:40 p.m. - The Pettets
  • 1:20 p.m. - Love More for Julius
  • 1:50 p.m. - Vintage Shades
  • 2:25 p.m. - Studio 140 Dance/YMCA
  • 2:40 p.m. -KNOWHERE
  • 3 p.m. - Jamestown Duo
  • 3:45 p.m. - Trilogy Sings
  • 4 p.m. - Aardvark Magic Show
  • 5 p.m. - The River Road Band
  • There will also be strolling entertainment throughout

Parking and shuttle bus are available at the Municipal Complex on Collyer Lane and Ridge High School.
