Cases
The Somerset County Health Department has reported 565 cases and 42 deaths in Bernards Township since the pandemic began. That's an increase of 35 cases and no new deaths since Basking Ridge Patch's last update Dec. 2.

Here are the town's latest daily case totals:
- Wednesday, Dec. 2: five
- Thursday, Dec. 3: four
- Friday, Dec. 4: seven
- Saturday, Dec. 5: seven
- Sunday, Dec. 6: four
- Monday, Dec. 7: four
- Tuesday, Dec. 8: nine
The state Department of Health reported 141 new cases Tuesday in Somerset County, bringing the area to 10,052 cases, 542 confirmed deaths and 76 probable deaths since the pandemic began. (The County Health Department has reported 9,615 confirmed cases and 538 deaths.)
