Basking Ridge Election Guide 2018: Where To Vote, Candidate List

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Tuesday is Election Day. We have compiled a list of all of the candidates running on the local and county level and also a list of polling locations.

Township Committee:

There are four candidates vying for two, three-year seats on the township committee including: Democrats Robert J. Mascia and Joan B. Harris and Republicans John Surano and Joseph Esposito. (Click on the candidates name for a profile.)

Current issues facing the township committee include: affordable housing and the quarry property.

School Board:

There is no contested race for school board with three candidates vying for the three three-year seats open including: Robin McKeon, Timothy M. Salmon and Karen Richman running. There is also a one one-year unexpired term with Suzanne Schafer Skalski running.

Somerset County:

The county freeholder race is also contested with four candidates vying for two three-year seats.
Incumbent Republican candidates include Patrick Scaglione and Mark Caliguire. Democrat challengers include Sara Sooy and Shanel Robinson.

Where To Vote?

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6. Polls are open from 6 a.m until 8 p.m. for the Primary and General Elections.
