BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Republicans hold on to control in Basking Ridge.

Here are the unofficial results of the 2017 Township Committee and Board of Education elections.

In Bernards Township there were four candidates vying for two three-year seats on the township committee.

Republican incumbent John Carpenter received 4,208 votes and republican James K. Baldassare got 4,426 votes over democrats Sarah G. Booth with 4,122 votes and Joan B. Harris with 4,130 votes.

For the Bernards Township School District there is an uncontested race with only two candidates vying for three three-year seats.

Candidates include Linda Wooldridge had 3,785 votes and Jennifer Korn had 4,009 votes. No petition was filed for the third slot, however Jennifer White, a write-in received 517 votes.

Results are unofficial until certified by the Somerset County Clerk and do not include absentee ballots.
