Basking Ridge Family Judged On NBC's America's Got Talent: See Video
The Sharpe Family Singers sang "Carry on Wayward Son" during the semi-finals which was criticized by judges. Watch their performance:

BASKING RIDGE, NJ —Basking Ridge's Sharpe Family singers once again took to the stage to perform on NBC's America's Got Talent live semifinals. (See video below)
However, unlike their first performance where they dazzled the judges, their live performance of "Carry On Wayward Son" earned them criticism across the board from judges for their song choice including an "X" from Howie Mandel on Tuesday night.
Mandel said "everything" in the performance was an issue for him. He noted how he enjoyed the prior act who performed right before the Sharpe Family much more.

"I went from a Superbowl to a cruise. It felt like a cruise ship, it felt a little bit corny, it felt outdated… You shouldn’t be singing rock and roll. Stay in your lane, musical theater," said Mandel.
Judge Heidi Klum agreed the song choice was not the best but still praised the family.

"To me, you are like the Partridge Family from the 70s but modern. I hear all of your voices and they are mindblowing amazing," said Klum.
She added that the poor song choice "doesn't take away from your talent. Every single one of you is so talented."
Judge Sophia Vergara was not impressed with the performance but added that she loved the family aspect.
"I felt like I was in a church service but I love that it is family and that is what makes me excited about you. I think people are going to love you because you are a family and it seems like so much fun. It seems like, what we need, to have family together," said Vergara.
In the Sharpe Family Singers' first performance, Barbara, Ron, and their four children Samantha, Logan, Connor, and Aidan sang "How Far I'll Go" from Disney's Moana. Judges felt the family should have picked a song similar to their June performance. See Related: See Basking Ridge Family Perform On NBC's America's Got Talent
"You are very wholesome, very apple pie, cherry pie, and peach pie. The problem was for me, I think it was a terrible song choice because I think you are... more like a kind of a musical theater, something like Disney," said Judge Simon Cowell.
"Some of the vocals were good some of them weren’t so good. Some of the facial expressions were over the top," Cowell said.
The family is very well known on social media with a very large following on their Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube sites.
In the end, only two acts will advance to the Finale each week. To see if the Sharpe Family Singers made the cut watch the Qualifiers 2 Results for Season 18 of "America's Got Talent" airing on NBC on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
