After the game, Ridge head coach Olivia Harpel said, "I'm proud of the team and how they competed against Bernards. They worked hard and earned the bounce-back win."
Harpel said the team’s preparation during the week showed up on game day.
"The players took accountability at practice and stepped up to prepare for this game. They knew where to focus and translated their practices to the game," she said.
She also highlighted contributions across the field.
"Our goalies, Rylan and Romey, played lights out making saves. Caroline Anderson and Cameron Hansen consistently play for their teammates and made particularly strong impacts at practice this week and in this game," Harpel said.
Harpel said Ridge used pauses in play to adjust against Bernards.
"Bernards is a great team with smart coaches and talented players like Caroline Burke. We used each break to regroup and adjust to the game," she said.
Ridge will travel to Montgomery on Thursday, May 14, for the Somerset County Tournament semifinal round.
