Basking Ridge To Hire More Help With Ongoing ISBR, USDOJ Lawsuits
The committee is holding a special meeting Friday to award a contract for Litigation Support Services for $45,000.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Committee will be awarding another contract for help in the ongoing lawsuits between both the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge and United States Department of Justice.
The committee is holding a special meeting Friday at 4 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 1 Collyer Lane, Basking Ridge.
The purpose of the meeting is to award a contract for Litigation Support Services to Michael Turner of Burton Trent Public Affairs LLC for $45,000.

The ISBR filed the lawsuit against Bernards Township over thedenial to allow the construction of a mosque on Church Street in March 2016.
The USDOJ filed the lawsuit against Bernards Township in November 2016 alleging discrimination after the Township's Planning Board unanimously voted down an application to build an Islamic mosque on Church Street in December 2015.
