"We're so excited," Miraglia said to Patch of being able to open.

Miraglia and Bednarski both have young children and were members of other Little Gym locations where they "loved it." They also both frequented the Basking Ridge area, so when the opportunity arose to open their own place in Somerset County, they jumped at the chance.

The Little Gym targets families with children aged 4 months to 12 years. They will offer classes, mini sports sessions, birthday parties, Parents Night Out events, and an August summer camp.

Classes

Before regular classes begin, the gym plans to hold free preview classes for members and nonmembers.

The first official week of classes is scheduled to begin Monday, May 18.

Grand Opening

For the May 30 grand opening, the business plans to offer family-friendly activities. Miraglia said the gym expects to have "a face painter and some giveaways, and food and snacks for the kids and parents."

Summer Camp

The business is also planning a summer camp program in August for children ages 3 to 10. Camp will run from Aug. 3 through Aug. 27, offered Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with different themes each week.
