Basking Ridge Labor Day Bike Races Set For Monday

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township's Annual Labor Day Bike Races are Monday, Sept. 3 starting at noon on South Finley Avenue.

Pre-registration is required for this free event. All races will be a straight sprint on South Finley Avenue. No balance bikes, tricycles or push bikes will be allowed.

All riders are required to wear bicycle helmets and all bicycles must pass a safety check at the starting line before each heat. Bicycles may have multiple gears and any wheel diameter.

Boys and girls will be grouped separately in the following categories:

• Bicycle Sprints with Training Wheels: Ages 3 and 4; ages 5 and 6
• Bicycle Sprints: Ages 3 and 4; ages 5 and 6; ages 7 and 8; ages 9 and 10; ages 11 and 12.

Online registration will be available through 10 a.m. on Sept. 3. and in-person or mail-in registration must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31.
