Basking Ridge Man Found Hiding In Garage, Charged With Burglary
Police also reported making two arrests for drug possession and assault recently.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A Basking Ridge man was arrested after he was found hiding in a township home's garage.
Brian Niziolek, 32, of Basking Ridge man was reportedly wanted for a probation violation.
Niziolek was later found on April 10 hiding inside the garage of a residence on Harrison Brook Drive. He was charged with burglary, hindering apprehension and criminal mischief, Bernards Township Police report.

Niziolek was turned over to New Jersey State Probation.

On April 7 at 4 p.m.: Andrew Mayes, 25, of North Carolina man was arrested for drug possession after he was stopped by Officer Zolnierowski near I-78 for a registration issue. During the stop a quantity of marijuana was found along with drug paraphernalia. He was charged and released pending a court appearance.
On April 12 at 11:45 a.m.: Alberto Herrera-Vargas, 37, of Jersey City was arrested for assault after an investigation by Officer Mulhall determined that he had assaulted another man during an encounter on Valley Road. The victim sustained minor injuries, and Herrera-Vargas was charged with simple assault and released.
