Basking Ridge Man Threatens Juvenile With Knife During Road Rage Incident: Police

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A Basking Ridge man was charged after police say he pulled out a knife and threatened a young driver during a road rage incident.

Bruce Wilber, 57, of Basking Ridge was charged recently with third-degree terroristic threats and third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.

It was initially reported on April 10 at around 3 p.m. when Bernards Township Patrol Officers went to the area of Annin Road for a road rage incident.

Officers determined a dispute happened between an adult driver, later identified as Wilber, and a juvenile driver.

The juvenile driver reported Wilber may have brandished a weapon during the incident, according to police.

School Resource Officer James Moore conducted a follow-up investigation and interviewed Wilber who admitted to threatening the other driver and displaying a buck-style knife, said police.

Wilber was issued complaint summonses and provided with a court date at Somerset County Superior Court.
