Basking Ridge Orthodontist To Throw First Pitch At Patriots Game

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Dr. Robert Bruzzichesi will be throwing out the first pitch at the Somerset Patriots game on Friday night with more than 100 of his patients watching.

“He has never done this before,” said Bruzzichesi’s wife and office manager Aurora. “He is very happy and honored.”

Bruzzichesi and his family have deep connections to the township and Somerset County. They live in the township and have had the Basking Ridge practice for 15 years. He also has practices in Whitehouse Station and Morristown.

Bruzzichesi has always been involved in the community by sponsoring local teams and community charities. When the Bruzzichesi’s son started playing baseball, the practice began sponsoring the Ridge Baseball Club, The Clemson Tigers.

Additionally, for every set of braces and Invisalign that they start up they donate the first $50 of treatment to the patient’s charity of choice in the patient’s name.

To show his appreciation to the Tigers and also to his patients, Bruzzichesi hosts a patient appreciation day each year. This will be the third year in a row.

As part of that, Bruzzichesi takes his patients out for a night of baseball at the Somerset Patriots Stadium in Bridgewater. Each year the number of patients grows with more than 100 showing up this year, filling an entire section in the stadium.

On Friday, Bruzzichesi will also have a booth at the stadium’s entrance where locals can lean more about his practice and can sign up for a coupon for a free initial consult at his office.

The Somerset Patriots will take on the New Britian Bees at 7:07 p.m. at the stadium at 1 Patriots Park in Bridgewater followed by fireworks.
