Basking Ridge To Share Court With Neighboring Towns

Bernards Township passed a shared services agreement to join a shared court with Bedminster, Peapack Gladstone, and Bernardsville.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township Committee unanimously passed a resolution to share court with neighboring towns Bedminster, Peapack Gladstone, and Bernardsville.

The unanimous vote was made on Monday night during a special virtual meeting.

"This was a win-win for both the municipality and our residents as this will save the Township between $90,000 to $120,000 per year. We're always looking for opportunities to share services where they make sense and when we can do so and save our residents money without sacrificing service, that's a benefit we should take every time," Mayor James Baldassare Jr. said.
