Basking Ridge Trails To Close For Deer Hunt
The entire trail system at the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center in Basking Ridge will close for the deer hunt.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The entire trail system at the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center in Basking Ridge will be closed on select upcoming dates for the annual deer hunt.
Dates include:
- Wednesday, Jan. 24
- Friday, Feb. 2 until 1 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb. 14

Little Brook Park in Bernardsville will also have deer hunting through Feb. 17 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from approximately 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and again from 3 p.m. until sundown.
"For your safety, walkers are urged to remain on the trail, wear blaze orange, and keep pets on a leash at all times," the Somerset County Parks Commission stated.
