Basking Ridge Water Main Work To Begin Monday
New Jersey American Water will be replacing 8,000 feet of aging water main along South Maple Avenue. Work will continue for about 3 months.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Water main replacement work will being on Monday and continue for about three months in Basking Ridge.
New Jersey American Water will be replacing approximately 8,000 feet of aging water main along South Maple Avenue (from Hill Top Road to Prospect Avenue). The project also includes replacing six fire hydrants and 33 utility-owned service lines along the pipeline route.
The project will be done weather permitting by the contractor, CRJ Contracting. Work will be done at night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday evening through Saturday morning.

Detours will be in place during these work hours. Drivers should follow all posted detours and signage. Work outside of these hours is not expected unless required to maintain project schedule.
Once the water main is replaced, the road surface will be repaved and restored by Somerset County.
