Basking Ridge's Charter Day Is Still On For Saturday
Charter Day includes a street fair showcasing local businesses, community groups, service organizations, food vendors and entertainment.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Despite the predicted rain, Charter Day will still go on Saturday from 11 am. to 9 p.m. in Downtown Basking Ridge.
Currently, all scheduled activities for the day will be held as planned. Should a portion of the event be cancelled the township will send an email notification, post an update to the calendar at bernards.org and to the Township Facebook page.
Coordinated by the Department of Parks & Recreation, Charter Day includes a street fair showcasing local businesses, community groups, service organizations, food vendors and more as well as amusement rides, games and attractions for children of all ages.

Also featured are student and adult art exhibits and historical displays.
Live entertainment is scheduled all day with performances and demonstrations by local talent, including a Charter Day Idol Competition, and continues in the evening with a live concert and dancing in the street.

There is plenty of parking located at the Municipal Building (1 Collyer Lane) and Ridge High School (268 S Finley Ave.). There is also a shuttle bus that will run from the start of the street fair at 11 a.m. to the end of the evening concert at 9 p.m.
