Basking Ridge's Mary Lou Panzano Elected to Morris Habitat Board

Morris Habitat for Humanity announces the election of seasoned communications professional Mary Lou Panzano of Bayer to its board.

Morris Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce the election of seasoned communications professional Mary Lou Panzano of Bayer to its board of directors.

“Our board is comprised of advocates and community leaders dedicated to guiding the mission of providing safe, decent and affordable housing for families in need in the Morris County area,” said Blair Schleicher Bravo, CEO of Morris Habitat for Humanity. “We are excited to utilize Mary Lou’s unique talents and expertise to furthering our mission.”

Panzano, a lifelong New Jerseyan who resides in Basking Ridge, is Vice President of U.S. Internal Communications at Bayer and is responsible for developing, leading and implementing countrywide, cross-business employee communications strategies. She provides strategic employee communications counsel for executives, ensuring consistency in messaging for more than 20,000 employees based in the U.S. and a $16 billion business portfolio, while furthering the company’s vision of health for all and hunger for none. Panzano works at Bayer’s U.S. headquarters in Whippany.

Panzano joined Bayer in October 2008 as head of internal communications for the company’s U.S. Pharmaceuticals business. Prior to that, she led retiree relations at Pfizer for two years and spent 22 years at Prudential, where she moved through various positions of increasing responsibility in management and communications.

A long-time supporter of organizations focused on helping provide food and shelter for the underserved and those in need, Panzano volunteers with a number of local charitable organizations and her church.

Morris Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization committed to building homes, communities and hope. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Morris Habitat builds new homes and provides home repair services to income eligible families.
