Somerset County Man Competes On ABC's 'The Bachelorette'

Contestant Erich Schwer is among the men competing on the 19th season of The Bachelorette, which for the first time has two Bachelorettes.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A Somerset County man is among the men this season to compete on ABC's "The Bachelorette" season, which for the first time includes two bachelorettes.

Erich Schwer, 29, of Bedminster is a Real Estate Analyst. He made his appearance on the first episode on Monday night.

"He describes himself as low-key, funny, outdoorsy and a bit mysterious with a fun side. When it comes to relationships, Erich acts with intention and is looking for the real deal. He doesn't want to be in a relationship just to be in a relationship and says that the next time he commits, it's for the long haul, according to his Bachelorette biography.

Eric is not the only New Jersey native competing. Tyler Norris, 25, a small business owner from Wildwood, also made the cut.

Schwer grew up in Bedminster and studied marketing and sales at North Carolina's Elon University. Since then, he's pursued a career in renewable energy and, most recently, real estate management. He relocated to the Los Angeles area in late 2021, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Norris is a graduate of Wildwood Catholic High School and studied exercise science and business management at Cabrini University. He's served as a fitness instructor and management trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in New Jersey before going on to own Spirit Ball in Wildwood.
