Bernards Named Among 'Best' Places To Live In NJ And America

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township was named as one of the best places to live in America and the Garden State for 2023, according to a new set of rankings released by Niche.

Bernards Township was ranked as the 35th best place to live in New Jersey out of 641 and the 478th best place to live in America out of 17,916.

The "Best Places to Live" rankings include cities, city neighborhoods and suburbs. Niche defines a place as a "non-rural town" with a population of 1,000 or more, including neighborhoods, suburbs and cities. Niche also separately ranked the best cities, neighborhoods and suburbs to live in.

The platform released the 2023 Best Places to Live in America list on Monday, along with rankings by state.

Bernards Township received an overall Niche grade of A+. Here’s how Niche graded Bernards Township in the following categories:

• Housing: B
• Nightlife: B-
• Good for Families: A+
• Diversity: B+
• Jobs: B+
• Weather: B-
• Cost of Living: C-

Bernards Township also ranked as the No. 4 best place to live in the Somerset County area, the No. 15 best place to raise a family and the No. 20 best public schools in the New Jersey area.
