Bernards Ranks Among 15 Best School Districts In NJ

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Coming as no surprise — Bernards Township was ranked as among the top 15 school districts in New Jersey, according to Niche’s 2023 Best Schools and Districts.

The rankings released Tuesday place Bernards Township School District at 13th best in the state and 190 out of 10,750 in America.

Locally, Bernards ranks as the best school district in Somerset County followed by Bridgewater-Raritan.

Bernards has 4,874 students and a 13:1 student-teacher ratio, according to Niche.com. According to state test scores, 77% of students are at least proficient in math and 81% in reading.

According to Niche, the website compiles its results from key statistics that it receives from the U.S. Department of Education as well as millions of reviews.
