Bernards Township Honors 2 Retirees With More Than 60 Years of Service Combined

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township officials recognized two longtime municipal employees on Tuesday.

The Township Committee voted on resolutions approving retirement commendations for Police Lt. Brian Fallon and Department of Public Works employee Thomas Nicoletti.

Fallon has served the police department for more than 24 years, and Nicoletti served for 37 years with the township.

The resolutions say Fallon and Nicoletti have "given generously of your time and efforts in a dignified, faithful and professional manner."

Mayor Ana Duarte McCarthy publicly acknowledged both retirements.

"I've had the pleasure of getting to know both Lieutenant Fallon, as serving on the police subcommittee with committeeman Andrew McNally. And Tom Nicoletti serving as the liaison to the Shade Tree Commission," said McCarthy. "They are both very dedicated professionals who have served our community well and we wish them much happiness in their retirement."

On Tuesday, June 30, the Bernards Township Police Department will host a retirement walkout celebrating Lt. Fallon.

The walkout will start at 3 p.m. in the lower lot of police headquarters. All are welcome.
