Bernards Township Library Appoints New Director
Lyn Begraft will start her work at Bernards Township Library on Nov. 4.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Library Board of Trustees appointed Lyn Begraft as Library Director on Sept. 18.
Begraft will start her work at Bernards Township Library on Nov. 4 succeeding Ruth Lufkin who has served as director since January 2012 and is retiring at the end of the year.
Begraft has been the Library Director for Long Hill Township Library since early 2016 and has more than 20 years of library experience.

"The Board of Trustees was extremely impressed with Lyn’s qualifications and enthusiasm. She understands the importance of customer service and is eager to get to know our library and its patrons. Lyn is attuned to the evolving nature of libraries and will be the ideal person to shepherd Bernards Library into the future. We very much look forward to working with her," said Zina Pozner, Board President.
Begraft holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts, in English, from Centenary University. She worked at the Sparta Library, the Sussex County Library System and then the Mount Olive Library before starting at the Long Hill Township Library.
