Bernards Township Police To Host National Night Out On Aug. 1

The annual event fights crime through community engagement.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township Police Department is once again hosting its National Night Out for 2023 on Tuesday, Aug. 1.

The event will be held in the Bernards Township Municipal Complex at 1 Collyer Lane in Basking Ridge at 6:30 p.m.

National Night Out, a yearlong community building campaign, is designed to:

  • heighten crime prevention awareness generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
  • strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
  • send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

This is a night for America to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnership and citizen involvement in our fight for a safer nation. NNO invites neighborhoods nationwide to “give crime a going away party."
