Bernards Township Prepares for Major Winter Storm Friday

Bernards Township, NJ -- Mother Nature, Bernards Township is ready for you.

With more and more reports predicting a significant amount of snow headed for our area, Bernards Township Emergency Management, along with its partners are gearing up.

“Plowing and salting equipment has been readied and staffing schedules are being determined based on the need,” said Bernards Township Police Captain Mike Shimsky.

Additionally, due to the relatively mild winter thus far, the township has an adequate supply of road salt for this event.

“Based on the onset of this potential storm, we will be closely monitoring the impact that it may have on the township’s schools dismissal,” Shimsky said.
