Unofficial Bernards Township School Board Election Results 2021

BASKING RIDGE, NJ —The unofficial results are in the heated Bernards Township School Board Election for 2021.

The results are unofficial as the final numbers for the Mail-In and Provisional Ballots are not yet counted.

There are five candidates vying for the three, three-year seats and two other candidates vying for one unexpired seat. Incumbents Timothy Salmon, Robin McKeon and newcomer Kirsten Light are leading ahead of incumbent Herpreet Singh and Carl Bird.

Here are the unofficial results as of 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 3, according to Bernards Township Municipal Clerk (* denotes incumbent):

Bernards Township Board Of Education Candidates (3-year seats):

• Herpreet "Guddia" Singh* - 1,746
• Timothy Salmon* - 2,823
• Robin McKeon* - 4,063
• Kirsten Light - 2,958
• Carl Bird - 1,375

Bernards Township Board Of Education Candidates (unexpired seat):

• Ruchika Hira* - 3,062
• Lawrence J. Nastro - 2,686

Somerset County Board of County Commissioners:

• Michael Kirsh - Republican - 42,072
• Amber Murad - Republican - 41,019
• Shanel Y. Robinson* - Democrat - 36,169
• Sara Sooy* - Democrat - 35,675
