Bernards Township School Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Summer is almost over for Basking Ridge students. The first day of school in Bernards Township School District is Thursday, Sept. 5.

Elementary schools include Cedar Hill, Liberty Corner, Mount Prospect, and Oak Street These schools house students from Pre-K through 5th grade.

William Annin Middle School includes grades 6 through 8. And Ridge High School includes grades 9 through 12.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Thursday, Sept. 5
• Half Day: Wednesday, Oct. 2
• Rosh Hashanah: Thursday, Oct. 3(Closed)
• Diwali: Friday, Nov. 1(Closed)
• NJEA Convention: Thursday, Nov. 7 and Friday, Nov. 8(Closed)
• Thanksgiving break: Wednesday, Nov. 27(half day), Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29
• Winter break: Friday, Dec. 20(half day), Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Jan. 1(Closed)
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, Jan. 20(Closed)
• Lunar New Year: Wednesday, Jan. 29(Half Day)
• Mid-Winter Recess/Presidents Day: Monday, Feb. 17 through Wednesday, Feb. 19(Closed)
• Half Day: Wednesday, Feb. 26
• Spring break: Monday, April 7 through Friday, April 11(Closed
• Good Friday: Friday, April 18(Closed)
• In-Service Day/Staff Reports: Friday, May 23
• Memorial Day: Monday, May 26 and Tuesday, May 27(Closed)
• William Annin Middle School Graduation: Thursday, June 19(Half Day)
• Ridge High School Graduation/Last Day For Students: Friday, June 20(Half Day)
• Last Day for Staff: Monday, June 23
• In-Service Day/Staff Reports as Required: Tuesday, June 24

In the event there is an emergency closing day prior to May 27, May 27 will be a used as a make-up day. If there are two emergency closing days prior to May 27, Feb. 19 will also be used as a make-up day. All make-up days will be full school days.

If May 27 and Feb. 19 are used as additional school days, days will be added to the end of the school year beginning with June 23.
