Bernards Township To Screen 'The Upstanders' Focusing On Bullying, Cyberbullying

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Municipal Alliance and Bernards Township Health Department are continuing their “Mind Matters: Exploring Mental Health, Connection, and Conversation Through Film” series.

This initiative features documentary screenings and facilitated discussions. The goal is to generate conversation about mental health and social connection within the community.

The next film in the series, “The Upstanders,” will be shown on Monday, March 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bernards Township Library.

This documentary examines bullying and cyberbullying through personal stories and insights from experts. It emphasizes how connection, empathy, and resilience can contribute to creating kinder communities.

The film will be accompanied by a guided discussion hosted by Kevin Dyches from Tri-County CMO. The event is open to all community members aged 11 and older. The presentation will include discussions about suicide and other related mental health topics.

Organizers recognize that the content may be difficult for some individuals. To provide support, a member of the Tri-County CMO staff will be available in the back of the room during the event. Attendees are welcome to step out at any time if they need a break or support.
