Bernards Twp. Offers Skin Cancer Screenings
The screening is conducted by a board certified dermatologist, will include a full body exam, and prevention information.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Health Department will host Skin Cancer Screenings on Monday, July 9 and Tuesday, July 17.
This screening is offered to local residents aged 18 years and older, who are not currently under the care of a dermatologist, and who have not attended a Bernards Township Skin Cancer Screening in the past three years.
“Research shows that each year there are more new cases of skin cancer than the combined incidence of cancers of the breast, prostate, lung and colon," according to the Health Officer, Lucy Forgione. "According to the American Cancer Society, melanoma accounts for only a small percentage of skin cancers, but it’s much more likely to spread to other parts of the body, where it can be hard to treat. Melanoma is almost always curable when it’s found in very early stages.”
