Bernards Twp. Primary 2018: Who's On The Ballot, Where To Vote

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — On Tuesday, voters will be heading to the polls to cast their ballots in the primary election. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Locally, in Bernards Township there is currently an uncontested race with two Republicans and two Democrats vying for two three-year seats on the township committee.

Democrats include: Robert J. Mascia of 75 N. Maple Ave. and Joan B. Harris of 29 Watchung Dr. Republicans include: John Surano of 31 Lurline Dr. and Joseph Esposito of 22 High Hill Ct.

On the congressional level there is a contested race for the 7th Congressional District seat.

The two-year term seat is currently held by Leonard Lance, who has held the seat since 2009. District 7 covers all of Hunterdon County, and parts of Essex, Morris, Somerset, Union, and Warren counties.

Republican challengers this year include:

• Raafat Barsoom of Annadale
• Lindsay C. Brown of Clark

The Democratic race is also contested with three candidates vying for the seat including:

• Tom Malinowski of Rocky Hill
• Peter Jacob of Pluckemin
• Goutam Jois of Summit

• District 4, 21, 22, 23, 24 - Hills Recreation Center, 75 Hansom Rd.
• District 5, 8 - Somerset Hills Lutheran Church, 350 Lake Rd.
• District 9 - Bernards Township Community Center House, 289 South Maple Ave.
• District 10, 17 - Bernards Township Community Center Garage, 289 South Maple Ave.
• District 11, 15, 19 - Spring Ridge Clubhouse, 150 Spring Valley Blvd.
• District 12, 14 - Liberty Corner Firehouse, 95 Church St.
• District 13, 18 - Society Hill Clubhouse II, 239 Irving Pl.
• District 16, 20 - Fellowship Village, 8000 Fellowship Rd.
