The Historical Society of Somerset Hills invites you to attend an entertaining and informative program about the Blairsden Estate, its architects and the Blair family on Thursday, May 15 at 7:30 PM.
William Barry Thomson, author, lecturer and founder of The Blairsden Association will present a slide presentation program on the Blair family and lifestyle at Blairsden to include the family’s other homes in New York City and Bermuda, steam yacht, as well as coaches. Also to be discussed are the social and economic factors of the post-Civil War decades that led to the family’s wealth and social standing.
The program coincides with the Brick Academy’s new Peapack-Gladstone museum exhibit and ‘Mansion In May’, the preeminent Designer Showcase and Gardens event. Refreshments will follow the free program. The Brick Academy is located at 15 West Oak Street in Basking Ridge.
